Please do not respond to spam/scam emails. It gave me a number to call if I wanted to cancel my service. It informed me that my Norton Subscription needed to be renewed and they were debiting my account.

This afternoon I received an email that said it was from Norton, but the sender that did not capitalize her name and had a gmail address not associated with anything "Norton like". Sadly, this is the only way I could find to give Norton notice of this weird email.

I write this as a courtesy, if I had a business and someone was scamming me, I would want to be notified. I am not worried that the scammer is going to debit my account because the bank account is closed. Going to their Customer Service Contact, which I had to sign in and create an account to do, I found none of their question hierarchy was applicable to this situation, so after a failed attempt at a 'Chat' with Kate who only could only have been a robot, I decided to try to get someone's attention via the community form. Then I found out it is impossible to talk to anyone via phone if you don't have an account. I discovered the number I was given to call was not the same as customer service on the Norton web page number for Customer Service. I hung up and went on line to contact Norton another way. Between the guy's instance that he could not help me if I didn't log into my computer and the background noise of other callers / conversations which was extremely distracting, I couldn't help but think this was a scam. Surely, with Norton's quality reputation they would not have such poor customer service (background noice that overwhelmed the agent) in their call center. The bank account no longer exists: I closed the bank account after my husband's death. He refused to listen when I said there is no money to refund because the debit will not go through. He kept telling me to log into my computer and he would help me 'refund' the money. I called the number, the person who answered was not able to comprehend the situation- that I didn't have an account with Norton. All this made me start to suspect a scam. When he died, I cancelled - over a year ago. I called the number, frustrated that they had not taken my email off their mailing list when I cancelled the service my husband had.
